Wolfeboro, NH…. Parents and children are looking forward to the first Wolfeboro Out at Night! to be held 6:00 to 9:00 Friday evening, February 8. Wolfeboro Department of Parks and Recreation and the Wolfeboro Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up in creating a three hour shop, dine and have fun in Wolfeboro break for families with young children.
“Children 6 years old through 12 years of age will stay at Carpenter School where Parks and Recreation staff will feed them dinner and fill the three hours with fun and games,” describes Director of Parks and Recreation Ethan Hipple. “The adults who drop off the children will be given a flyer with a list of restaurants and shops that are waiting to greet them with a Wolfeboro Out at Night special,” adds Hipple.
Specials include chances to win gift certificates, adult- only games, buy-one-get-one free, snacks and more.
“The variety of specials will be printed on the flyer,” explains Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mary DeVries. “Each adult will be given a sticker that will identify them as a participant in Wolfeboro Out at Night! Simply show your sticker as you explore each shop or restaurant,” adds DeVries.
Hipple and DeVries are excited about this community partnership. Following February 8, Wolfeboro Out at Night! will be held on March 8, April 12 and May 10.
For planning purposes, parents are asked to pre-register their child by telephoning Parks and Recreation at 569-5639.
